We are all connected through our interactions. Imagine a blank space filled with dots, each representing a person. These dots are linked by their interactions, and each interaction influences a person’s internal state. This internal state, in turn, greatly affects the quality of future interactions. Whether someone is happy, angry, or calm will determine how they engage with others.

Interactions can be seen as an exchange of information. Put simply, there is information that serves us and information that does not serve the future we desire.

The flow of information across this network of people is alive, constantly in flux. Information influences the internal state of individuals, and in turn, those individuals affect the quality of the information passed on.

Responsibility

Part of being responsible within this network is the ability to stop the spread of the information and stories that do not serve. This means recognising when information does not support the future we want to move toward.

Change the seemingly unchangeable

In navigating complex cultures / systems that seem stuck and unsolvable, the process could begin with gently shifting the flow of information and interactions. By consciously choosing to propagate information that serves a better future, you can help move these complex systems, our culture, toward desired change.

It ends with you

To becomes a filter in the network. To stop propagating lesser information, even when emotional addicted to it. To overcome it, It ends with you, as you do not speak it nor contribute to its further propagation.

How did life on Earth come to be? — "Oh, it came from another planet!"
What about my medical condition? — "There's nothing you/we can do about it. Your grandfather had this too, it's genetic."

Often, we don't truly solve problems but instead push them to the horizon of our knowledge, ignorance, or comfort. It’s like sweeping dirt under the carpet and calling the room clean.

There is a function in pushing problems to these horizons. In many cases, we can only come up with solutions that are “good enough” for the time being. Whether it’s believing that rain comes from a thunder god or that the tiniest parts of the material world are atoms, these beliefs, stories, or solutions serve their purpose for a period.

However, in the case of the examples mentioned, it’s clear that we’ve reached a point where we need new answers. The standard responses to common problems are becoming increasingly absurd.

I believe that the way is more towards the many small instead of the few big.
Whether it is an entity like one corporation whom acts for the many, one government for the many, one guru for the many, a few energy production facilities for the many, etc. ...

more than a few

Just as a few starling birds in the sky, even though they behave the same as if with many, not much special is to be observed when you watch them. It's only when their numbers increase vastly that the murmurations, the aerial shape shifting formations, can be observed.

Dance the same dance

And just as the starling birds show, for something novel to emerge, they need to act the same. There is no novelty, no murmuration to be seen, if there is no cohesion, when birds are off doing their own thing.
